Yes! Another game music release from Sumthing Else. This time a soundtrack to the game Borderlands. The composers should be very familiar to you if you are into games. Jesper Kyd, Sascha Dikiciyan and Cris Velasco has written the music for the game and by the sound of it, it’s interesting stuff.

It will be released digitally and physically by Sumthing Else on December 8th and guess who has pre-ordered it? It should also be available on iTunes.

Well I was really hoping this would happen because I actually do like the music in the game. The game is itself a blast to play as well. But I am seriously disappointed they are missing the title track from the opening sequence “Ain’t No Rest For The Wicked” by Caged Elephant. No it doesn’t really fit with the ambient sound-scape of the rest of this soundtrack but honestly I would consider it’s absence a huge downside.

Hmm interesting insight. I am looking forward to it as well. It’s a bit different from the usual game scores.
They also missing the trailer song “No Heaven” by DJ Champion. That’s another good song and it fits perfect with “ain’t no rest for the wicked”.
For me there are two huge downs.
Trailer songs are rarely included, but I guess that is a loss.
