I have some bad news this morning. The legendary composer behind works such as Barry Lyndon, Bound for Glory, Lord Of The Rings (1978) and Star Trek IV: The Voyage home has died at the age of 83.

R.I.P. Leonard Rosenman. You will be missed.

The Voyage Home was badass, in no small part due to the score. Lyndon was talented.

It might have been the best Star Trek score actually. I haven’t made up my mind on that as each of the scores has something special about them.

The Wrath of Kahn had a good score are well. The way the score was edited when Kahn is approaching the Enterprise in the Reliant was great.

I also like the newer scores like First Contact. I love the Borg “themes”.

That is terrible news, but I am glad he had a successful career and a long life. RIP Leonard.
