What to do when you can’t buy the soundtrack in the stores (or Amazon)?

A long title maybe, but it’s an important subject and one thing I had to find out the hard way just recently when I was looking for Trevor Rabin’s National Treasure: Book of Secrets soundtrack. Amazon and CD Universe, my two trusted sources for everything failed me at such a pivotal task. Me and a friend were looking for it and she saw the movie and it clearly said that the soundtrack can be bought from Disney Records or something like that. Filled with joy and excitement we checked Amazon, who never lets me down, really… but there was nothing.
Well fear not my good people, because a lot of soundtracks are not released in it’s original CD from anymore, but has ventured into the world of digital and that’s where you can find it all. Trevor Rabin’s National Treasure: Book of Secrets and many more can be found at the following sources:
Yahoo Music
7 Digital
Walmart
iTunes
I’m sure there are more, but that’s just the ones I know of that has National Treasure: Book of Secret when Amazon doesn’t.
Alright, that was just a quick one for today. Even the Soundtrack Geek have to sleep, and I haven’t slept for 36 hours or so. See you all later!

Yep, Amazon should have it all, maybe they do now that they have the new mp3 service. Everything is digital now.
Yeeeeah! Top Gun! “I feel the need… the need for speed!” How can you not love a movie with corny lines like that :D. Kenny Loggins, Dangerzone and Playing With The Boys are really cool songs. Hehe Caddyshack. I want to get that, wonder if I can find it on Ebay, probably can.

There’s http://www.legalsounds.com for some hard to find, otherwise not realeased material. I’m not sure whether they will have many movie soundtracks, but worth a try
Thanks for stopping by my tech site recently!

This has happened to me SO much over the years. I haven’t tried 7digital. Will give that one a try.

That’s weird that Amazon didn’t have it. I agree - they usually have EVERYTHING (and that is why I love them). Glad you found it - you’ve been hyping it for awhile.
Just noticed that Top Gun is one of the movies featured in your avatar - that’s awesome. Just like the Fletch soundtrack, the music is kind of awful, but I love it anyway. Kenny Loggins, man! Creator of two of the best-yet-cheesy 80s soundtracks (along with Caddyshack).
