In some movies, you have a whole bunch of great songs to choose from, others only have 1 or 2, but it’s really special when you hear a song and think immediately of the movie they were in. Sometimes there are no memories at all except great songs that stands on it’s own. I have collected 5 of them here.. all great songs. This time I have 5 rock songs for you featured in the movies Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, St. Elmo’s Fire, Buddy’s Song and last but not least Young Guns II. Enjoy!

Terminator 2: Jugment Day (1991)

Guns N’ Roses - You Could Be Mine
It’s a song I remember well, it wasn’t too much featured in the movie, but I still remembered it and then this cool music video came out where Arnie was in it. I love the integration of it all, very cool stuff and a great song too!

Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey (1991)

Kiss - God Gave Rock And Roll To You II
Whoa…. duuuuude! Come on, it’s cool! Keanu’s catchphrase, and this role was perfect for him at the time, the look, the way he moved… perfect! Some cool music in this very funny movie and this is a great rock song by the legendary rock band Kiss.

St. Elmo’s Fire (1985)

John Parr - St. Elmo’s Fire (Man In Motion)
I have a confession to make. I have never seen this movie, but I love this song. It is as 80s as it can be, with a great pulsating rock song which happens to be one my favorite 80s songs. I have to check out this movie some day. The love theme from the movie is also very good.

Buddy’s Song (1990)

Chesney Hawkes - The One And Only
Well, you must have heard this one. A really noisy, but light rock song by one hit wonder Chesney Hawkes. He starred in this obscure movie which no one has hear about, and it was a terrible movie. What a contrast this song is, it is simply an amazing rock song. I love it! Sometimes great things comes from the worst movies.

Young Guns II (1990)

Jon Bon Jovi - Blaze Of Glory
Isn’t this cool or what? A rock song wild west style! They made a great choice by having Jon Bon Jovi create the soundtrack to this sequel, otherwise it wouldn’t be as popular. Personally I loved both movies and the music as well. The only sad thing about this video is that there isn’t much footage of the movie itself. Oh well, great song anyway.

Well, he is still making music. He released a single in 2007 called “Out of the Darkness”. His last album was released in 1996 though. Maybe a comeback?

I am hoping for a comeback indeed. I am still in a freaky kind of love with St. Elmo’s Fire, lol, I think the film is great, you should check it out some day. It is kind of dated by now, but I can see why it was a hit back in the day, it is awesome.

Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey; LOL. Thanks for reminding me about that movie. I had almost forgotten it completely. I like how you have the music videos here to go along with each of the five. This is great stuff. I have actually only seem Bill and Ted and Terminator 2 thoguh so I don;t have much to say about the others. It is kind of funny how old school these videos look.

Nick: I will definitely check it out one of these day. Would be great to hear some some new John Parr. He has a cool voice in St. Elmo’s Fire.

Dave: It’s been a while since I’ve seen the Bill & Ted movies. They are goofy but fun. T2 is a movie I have to watch once a year, great movie.

BioTeck: The whole T2 package does me a world of good :)

St. Elmo’s Fire is a great movie. It’s also wonderfully depressing.

The Seventies had The Big Chill.
The Nineties had Reality Bites.

The Eighties had St Elmo’s Fire.
