Dune is coming… again!?
Yes that’s right people! It is coming again, this time by the very capable hands of none other than Peter Berg. The funny thing is that I am not as excited for the actual movie as I am for the soundtrack. Toto and Graeme Revell’s soundtracks weren’t the greatest, but if you remember, there was a spinoff called Children of Dune which was scored by Brian Tyler. The 2003 soundtrack was simply amazing, and is still to this day one of my favourite soundtracks. I really hope they ask Brian Tyler, but I suspect Graeme Revell will be chosen for this project. It all depends what Peter Berg has in mind.
Peter Berg has a million things on his plate, so it probably won’t arrive until 2010. Still, I will keep my eyes peeled for news on this one.
If you remember, I reviewed the soundtrack of Resident Evil: Extinction the other day and was wondering if there was a score for the movie and there is! I am currently in the process of getting it and hope to have it soon.
