Action fans rejoice!
Solomon Kane, the hunter of all things evil is coming soon and Klaus Badelt is the composer. I didn’t know quite what to expect. I recently heard Le Petit Nicolas and it’s as far from Badelt-action as you can get.
Wouldn’t it be great if old school Badelt came back? You know… the guy from Equilibrium or even better, Pirates of the Caribbean!
I’ll give you one better. Throw in the best of Remote Control Productions and the best of Hans Zimmer and you have Solomon Kane. Enough hype? You can definitely hear Zimmer’s influence from track one, but this sounds spectacular. If you are a fan of RCP action, you will love this (I know I do).
The score is probably going to be download only around December, but I’ll take it in any sort of form and shape. Just listen to the amazing preview:

This sounds absolutely incredible! I’ve been waiting to see what this score was like ever since I found out that Klaus was composing, and he did not disappoint! Do you know if these are all complete tracks from the album? I hope not–it would be a shame for this score to go the way of Steve Jablonsky’s work on Transformers 2!

Don’t have the tracklist yet, but I do have something interesting. Andrew Raiher is doing additional score to Solomon Kane and you can download 2 tracks from Solomon Kane (addtional score) here: http://showreels.smatalent.co.uk/showreels/andrew-raiher-showreel.zip
Well, it’s December now, and I still can’t find anything concrete regarding the soundtrack’s release. Do you think it’s been cancelled or just pushed back?

Still awaiting some news on this one. It probably lacks a distributor at this point. I think we will get an announcement soon. It sounds like a La-La Land type of project. I just hope someone release it, even if it’s only digitally.

There are 10 full tracks on Klaus Badelt his site: http://www.klausbadelt.com/solomonkanepreview
All the great parts from the samples are not in the preview tracks sadly. Is there anybody who knows already if this is gonna be released and when? It would be a shame if such a promising score isn’t released at all.

Thanks for the info. Checking it out now. I haven’t heard anything, but I really hope this get a release. From what I’ve heard it could well be Badelt’s best score to date.
Any update on this? I like the preview on Badelt’s site.

Actually I found it on klausbadelt.com. Klaus made this comment in the comment section on the preview:
“The soundtrack will be available on this site and all major stores, but I don’t know when yet. Every subscriber to this site will get notified as soon as I know myself!
”
So he pretty much confirms it. Don’t know what they are waiting for to be honest.
Looking forward to it too. Klaus is an amazing composer and I still wonder how much influence he had in Hans Zimmer scores before he started composing on his own …
Can’t wait to get this score.
but did you know that a young English composer called Andrew Raiher wrote a lot of the score? He’s credited on the film but a pity it’s not picked up elsewhere ……….

Yes and you can even download the Raiher score on his website I believe. Just hope they will release it soon

Wow, didn’t even know about this movie coming out. Gotta love Klaus. Heck, I liked his Poseidon score even though the movie was trash. The Promise is a great score too. Thanks for the tip on this new score

Aaah the Promise. It has to be one of the best scores ever in my book. The Poseidon is a very underrated action score. Solomon Kane sounds wonderful. Have you heard the promo to TMNT by Klaus Badelt? I highly recommend it.
