According to Upcoming Film scores, the french electronica duo Daft Punk has been signed on to write the original score to the film Tron 2.0, The sequel to the animation cult hit from 1982 starring Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner. The original tron was scored by Wendy Carlos. Tron 2.0 will be the first complete feature film score by Daft Punk. Tron 2.0 is scheduled for a 2011 release.
