Well well well, so it finally happened. Hans Zimmer & James Newton Howard finally get an award after winning with The Dark Knight for Best Score Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media last night. I have to say I didn’t think it would happen, but very happy it did.
The other nominees were Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Iron Man, There Will Be Blood and Wall-E.
Juno won for Best Compilation Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media. The other nominees were American Gangster, August Rush, Mamma Mia! and Sweeney Todd.
Peter Gabriel won in the category Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media with “Down to Earth” on the soundtrack to Wall-E. The other nominees were Carrie Underwood with “Ever Ever After” from Enchanted, John Mayer with “Say” from The Bucket List, Amy Adams with “That’s How You Know” from Enchanted and John C. Reilly with “Walk Hard” from Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.
Congratulations to all the winners!

I do like the last two tracks on the album.
Have you listened to the Da Vinci Code soundtrack yet? The 2nd and last track are great.

The Da Vinci Code is indeed a beautiful score by Hans Zimmer. Can hardly wait for Angels & Demons coming this year from Zimmer as well. I expect an equally impressive soundtrack.
I LOVE the Da Vinci Code soundtrack and I can’t wait for Angels & Demons either! I’m glad that the DArk Knight won a grammy. Great score!

Angels & Demons will be great! TDK should have at least been nominated in the oscars for Best Score

I think the hype machine is helping propel The Dark Knight forward in some areas.

Well whatever it is, I am glad that it’s working for good, not evil.
