Another reviewer is coming on board the Soundtrackgeek revolution and I feel it will stir up the proverbial soundtrack soup quite a bit. Here’s a short introduction:
Timothy E. RAW is a film score enthusiast with almost 600 scores in his collection. The first ever score he owned was Hans Zimmer’s Broken Arrow, a Christmas present that year, though he suspects he first caught the bug hearing John Du Prez’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! These days his tastes though still wide-ranging, lean more towards lesser-known independent fair. Two of his favourite score albums so far this year are, Adrift In Manhattan by Michael A. Levine and Joshua by Nico Muhly. His most beloved score is Jon Brion’s Magnolia and his favourite composers are Mychael Danna and Carter Burwell.
His first film score review will be none other than Brian Tyler’s Eagle Eye and it’s coming up tonight so make sure you catch that. I promise you a very interesting read and although I don’t agree with him, he hits home some very good points. So get ready for Eagle Eye…
