071008 0303 soundtrackg1 Soundtrack Geek Is Getting Married! Yes, that’s right, and no, it’s not a metaphor for The Dark Knight soundtrack even though it’s pretty sensational. Me, Jørn Tillnes, the soundtrack geek is getting married 8.8.8. That’s August 8^th 2008 if you didn’t know. What does this mean for soundtrackgeek.com? Well, it’s a time for change and its coming, a quite substantial change I would say, but not to worry, it won’t happen right away.

On July 12^th I take a flight to Indonesia and will stay there until August 16^th. This means I won’t be updating the site much, it will be in holiday mode. Don’t worry, there will be interesting reviews coming up every week. Some of the goodies you can expect are Get Smart, Hancock, Wanted, The Happening, Wall*E and some surprises in between. There will be no Retro Wednesdays or Sunday Soundtrack Charts I’m afraid.

Expect some major changes when I come back, not all at once, but I have a huge to-do list to make this site better for you, my faithful viewers. Expect some shocking surprises as well. Trust me ladies and gentlemen, some of the stuff I have in store for you will blow your socks off.

To speak of a more personal note, I am happy with the way things have been progressing on this site. It’s been going really well in fact and I will build on that in a massive way this fall. SoundtrackGeek.com is going really great, but it can be a lot better. I want to connect with you as readers of my fine blog and I will take steps to do just that. I want you to get the absolute best of me and the best of soundtracks.

One big change you will notice is the way I approach things. Let’s face it, this blog is very clinical, it doesn’t really connect on a personal level and I want to change that. This means making this blog more personal, I will change the profile of this blog a bit, not change it 100%, but tweak it a little. I want to get more involved with you people who come to my blog. Speaking of blog, I love the blog format, it’s great, but I want to upgrade that as well. Ok, I think I have said enough for now. I will let you wonder over the summer, what will happen with soundtrackgeek.com. Am I being cruel?

Oh yeah, one more thing before I go. My good friend Garfield will be here this summer to moderate comments and so on, to check that everything goes ok which I’m sure it will.
