I really like this overture by Michael. It was great hearing it in the theaters during the credits after 90 minutes of no music. It’s like a great big homage to Akira Ifukube’s Godzilla theme.

I hope many people stayed for the ending credits. It really is a great monster theme.

I am such a freak for not seeing this film, but I love this track!

Having a good soundtrack is really important for me beside the story… And this is one of the good thing about Cloverfield! ;)

Nick: You haven’t seen it? I thought I was a freak for watching it so late hehe. Very cool track though.

BioTeck: Its a bold choice for them to not use any score on the movie, but there are a lot of songs though.

I didn’t see the movie either (though I plan to), but I was surprised at how the Coverfield Theme sounds a lot like a throwback to old-time adventure films. It sounded almost cheesy, though maybe that fits the movie’s tone.

The movie is “modern” for sure, but it was an homage to all the old-time monster movies, especially the Japanese monster movies I felt. I love this track, and wish there was more. It’s 10 minutes though so I shouldn’t really complain.

This song is great, fits the song perfectly. The composer or whatever Micheal is also did amazing on the Medal Of Honor game music that he did do. If you like this check his Medal of Honor stuff out, also great.

It is indeed a great song. I think I have heard the MOH music, but it didn’t leave too much of an impression. Maybe I need to hear it again.

I hate typos. *fits with the movie perfectly*

Some MOH songs arnt all to great but some are just amazing like this song. Look them up on Youtube.

[Reply]

Hehe no worries. It happens. I agree with your point about MOH. I have most of the soundtracks, and there are certainly some songs better than others.

*sigh* I did a “bad” thing today, I got hooked to all the secret things of this movie and now I can’t stop watching all the little tiny details of everything. It sucks because I enjoyed this movie the way it was without it trying to be explained and all that stuff. The only thing I like about reading up about it is the fact that the monster isn’t from space and that it’s only an infant and already 30 stories tall xD.

[Reply]

It isn’t from space? It’s all a conspiracy I tell you! *watching movie with suspicious eyes*

[Reply]

I really wonder if it is all a conspiracy, I would laugh if it is. Another laughable thing about the movie is a little easter egg they may have put in. I don’t know if its faked or not but, after they bomb the creature in the helicopter when they are struck down when the camera flickers between the subway train scene and the after crash it flickers once more and for half a frame you see the old clay kingkong!

[Reply]

Well I have to watch it again now ;) Didn’t see the clay King Kong
