Ironically, the leader of Oingo Boingo Danny Elfman became quite a film composer himself and did an excellent job with one of his first soundtracks to a little known movie called “Batman”

Also, Ira Newborn is a composer that is as close to John Hughes as John Williams is to Spielberg.

Fletch: My favorite is The Breakfast Club. I just laughed when I saw the video. Great song too. Oh yeah, Yello’s song is definitely a classic. I must see those movies again, I miss them like old friends.

The one I am most familiar with is Ferris Bueller. I think overall it’s a great soundtrack, with my favorites being the song that plays when they’re in the museum (an all-time favorite scene) and the transition music that plays when they’re showing shots of downtown Chicago. And Yello’s song is a classic….chickichicka.
