Yep, and Trevor Rabin of "Yes" became quite the composer as well.

Ira Newborn! He did some fun stuff, The Naked Gun, Ace Ventura...

Ironically, the leader of Oingo Boingo Danny Elfman became quite a film composer himself and did an excellent job with one of his first soundtracks to a little known movie called "Batman" :-)

Also, Ira Newborn is a composer that is as close to John Hughes as John Williams is to Spielberg.

Ah, classic stuff. All of which I've played on more than one occasion on the Speaker Box. Perhaps one of these days I'll put it all together and make a feature show.

Mikey: Hehe, happy to help.

Fletch: My favorite is The Breakfast Club. I just laughed when I saw the video. Great song too. Oh yeah, Yello's song is definitely a classic. I must see those movies again, I miss them like old friends.

The one I am most familiar with is Ferris Bueller. I think overall it's a great soundtrack, with my favorites being the song that plays when they're in the museum (an all-time favorite scene) and the transition music that plays when they're showing shots of downtown Chicago. And Yello's song is a classic....chickichicka.
