These are of course the famous words from the Transformers theme back in the 80s. That’s right, we are going to the 80s again, back to 1986 or even 1984 when the TV series was on. Last year Volcano/Legacy released a 20th anniversary soundtrack to this great movie and it features some amazing songs. If you were anything like me, you were sitting in front of the TV watching the TV series and then the movie came out and I immediately went out to buy the cassette. Aah, those were the days. I also had a nice collection of Transformers action figures.
Let’s not stray too far off the path though, because this is all about the music and thanks to the wonder of Youtube, let’s go down the memory lane. It’s a great 80s soundtrack, with some great rock music on it. Even if you don’t like Transformers or never saw the movie or TV series, you will like the soundtrack if you like the 80s. First off, listen to the score by Vince DiCola.

It’s a great score, and there was a separate score release for this on 2 CD’s
Here is the classic Transformers Theme by Lion.
Stan Bush! He made some awesome stuff in the 80s for movies like Kickboxer and Bloodsport to name a few. This is a great song called The Touch.
N.R.G. with an awesome rock track called Instruments of Destruction.
Stan Bush with my favourite song from the Transformers album. It’s a great inspirational theme called Dare.
Spectre General with Hunger to end this retro Wednesday.

Awesome retro review! SO much fun. I loved Transformers the TV show and last summer’s movie because the nostalgia added so much to it and the music was all the brought back the nostalgia!

I wish this much care had been put into last summer’s Transformers soundtrack. Oh well, there’s always Instruments of Destruction and Iron Hide dying needlessly in the animated movie.

The Touch! I love that song. Especially Dirk Diggler’s version in Boogie Nights.
