  1. Great list of love songs. I love the movies they’re associated with too. The cheese factor is high, but not too high.

    Jess’s last blog post..Simpsons Movie

  2. Hehe yes, the cheese factor is high, probably too much for some. I would argue that most of the movies I grew up with came right out of the cheese factory, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thanks for stopping by jess, always a pleasure :)

  3. I feel all mushy inside. I don’t know if that’s good or bad…

    Mikey Filmmaker’s last blog post..Happy V-Day!

  4. It depends entirely what you are doing. Are you in a fight to the death with a lion or a gargoyle for example, then mushy is not the way to go. If you intend to take that lion or that gargoyle on for a date, mushy might preferable, at least in periods.

  5. Ohhhhhh! I missed this post by 2 days! I love this article. I think this is your most awesome post ever!

Everyone of these songs are fastastic!

  6. That top gun song remains a top top fave! I can still remember that song, and the video maybe old but it remains amazing, I must say!

    You made my day! ;)

  7. Ooh! Happy that you dig it man. I love “Take My Breath Away” by Berlin, but I have never had a “moment” to it. It’s just one of those pieces of music that’s just really amazing. I love it still to this day, which is more than I can say for most songs.

  8. I would like to add and this is something I should have commented on before, that theme song for An Officer and a Gentlemen is one of the most romantic songs for me. I admire Debra Winger and felt that she should have stayed doing films, but from her last interview, it seems she is tired of playing the same old formulaic roles givne to female leads in Hollywood. Her chemistry with Richard Gere is contagious and I find them to be such great team.

I’m not sure if this song won at the Oscars, but I can still remember it was performed during the awards night.

  9. An Officer and a Gentlemen is a great movie, and a movie I will watch with my fiancee who hasn’t seen it yet. Yeah, it’s a shame she feels that way. It would be great to see her again.

  10. […] fellow EntreCarder who appears to be a Sound Track Geek posted up a Valentines Special which contains many music videos of love songs, which is definitely worth a watch if one considers […]
