The Super Bowl is huge and I although I am sitting overseas, this is pretty cool stuff. Songs composed by Hans Zimmer, John Williams and Steve Jablonsky got featured in the NFL pre-filmed spots of the two teams. It’s also interesting that the chose these 3 songs, because they feature on some of my favourite scores. The songs played were “The Patriot” from the score “The Patriot” by John Williams, “The Budget Meeting” from the score “King Arthur” by Hans Zimmer and “Autobots” from the score “Transformers” by Steve Jablonsky. I am hoping that more people will discover these excellent scores and buy them. Listen to the songs here:

I noticed the Transformers track but didn’t watch enough of the Bowl to know that the other tracks were used. Good eye (or shall I say, “Good ear”?).

My ears are especially tuned, I think even bats would have trouble to out-hear me :P

Those are some good tracks, but they always use the same songs for different things – movies, sports, etc.

As long as they get some extra exposure I am happy. Hope more people get interested in soundtracks.
