Thanks! Wouldn't know about the genius part, but I do know that the games industry will grow even more. I bet we'll hear Hans Zimmer's first game score soon. Maybe even John Williams will have a go.

I have a couple of games scores on DVD. A good one is Alice in Wonderland by Chris Vrenna. Another one I really like but not sure if it's been released is Jak-X (sp?) not sure of the name, it was on PS2. Anyway, the soundtrack was done by Billy Howerdel from A Perfect Circle. Awesome.

Wow - love your blog! Thanks for the comment, please keep coming back and sharing your wisdom with me. I don't know much about scores other than the big names - but I do love Giacchino's scores for LOST.

Thanks again,

Adam

(definitely adding your blog to my site)

Yes I can't agree more. I think next year will be an amazing year for game soundtracks. I can't wait! Thanks for your comment.

I think that game scores will definitely compete for the affection of soundtrack fans. Of recent years they have been very good and comparable to their cinematic counterparts, and I doubt that will change.
